Our Mission
Preserving Artist’s Legacy Across Creative Platforms
We preserve and honor artists’ creative legacies by thoughtfully cataloging their work through high-quality art books and curated creative offerings. Our mission is to ensure that an artist’s body of work is never lost, fragmented, or forgotten—whether they are established, aging, or just beginning their creative journey.
Through collaboration, documentation, and respectful reproduction, we help artists safeguard their work, tell their story, and create lasting, tangible records that can be shared for generations to come.
A Founder Story
My name is Dr. Valerie Quest, DACM, and my mission to preserve artists' creative legacies began long before this business existed.
From a very young age, I have been helping my mom, Lois VanLiew, with her artwork. Through her, I’ve met countless talented artists and witnessed both the beauty and the heartbreak of creative life. As many artists age, and some pass away, I’ve watched entire bodies of work be scattered, auctioned for pennies, or disappear entirely. Once that happens, the artist’s story is fragmented, and their legacy is often lost.
Artists are exceptional creators, but many lack the resources, time, or desire to comprehensively document their work. I would often remind my mom to photograph her paintings before letting them leave her studio, and even then, many paintings have low-quality images or no record at all. Since these works were sold, and in some cases sent to other countries, there is no way to capture a high-quality photos.
I believe, art books are one of the most affordable, tangible, and enduring ways to preserve an artist’s legacy. They allow collectors, families, and admirers to experience an artist’s work as a cohesive whole, long after individual pieces have found new homes.
In addition to art books, our site is expanding and will offer reproductions, keepsake items, handmade goods, and a selection of digital creations. When possible, we are also happy to connect interested collectors with artists regarding original works.
These Legacy Books are about preservation, respect, and storytelling, ensuring that artists and their creations are remembered as they deserve to be.
